PlasticGuys: a Macau parody team that found a following through comedic cover songs
PlasticGuys
PlasticGuys (膠街架) is a Macau online creator team built around parody and comedy, formed in 2016 when a creator nicknamed "Nakamura" and a few friends started making videos after a video contest. The team is known for reworking Mandarin and pop hits into punchy Cantonese cover-parodies and for second-creation sketches; it has roughly 40,000 followers on Facebook, and one of its most popular clips drew over 1.36 million Facebook views. Run as a hobby with members holding day jobs, its motto is "do plastic things seriously," and its name is a Cantonese pun on the robot anime *The King of Braves GaoGaiGar*.
