Leong Man Teng: the Macao designer-painter who stitches painting into fashion through GELÉE
Leong Man Teng
Leong Man Teng (also using the English name Esther Leong), born in Macao in 1985, is a fashion designer and painter and the founder of the personal label GELÉE. She holds a BFA and an MFA (Western painting) from National Taiwan Normal University and trained in fashion design and manufacture at the Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM). She founded GELÉE in 2014, naming it after the French word for "jelly," with a focus on avant-garde, artistic womenswear. As a working painter she folds her own garment designs into her canvases, moving between art and utility — one of the few Macao creatives equally at home in fashion and painting.

Lalaismi Wai: the designer who took Macao label POURQUOI to Paris TRANOÏ
Lalaismi Wai
Lalaismi Wai (韋展尚) is a Macao fashion designer and founder of the personal label POURQUOI. Trained in fashion design at Shih Chien University (Kaohsiung) and ESMOD Beijing, she named the brand after the French word for "why" and built it around playful, detail-rich made-to-order womenswear. In 2016 she brought the label to TRANOÏ during Paris Fashion Week, and she was repeatedly selected for the Cultural Affairs Bureau's fashion sample-making subsidy — one of the figures carrying Macao's new-generation fashion design onto an international stage.

Cordova Celestino Maria: the Macao menswear designer who named his label after his own Portuguese surname
Cordova Celestino Maria
Cordova Celestino Maria (Chinese name 高肇朗) is a Macao-born Portuguese-descent (Macanese) fashion designer who named his menswear label "Cordova" after his own Portuguese surname. After studying in Japan he trained on the Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) fashion design and manufacture diploma, winning First Overall Winner and the Academic Award for his 2016 graduation collection "Kimono Now" before entering an incubation programme. His work follows a Japanese-influenced, black-and-white, avant-garde line, with a stated move toward made-to-measure tailoring; he was selected in two consecutive editions (2018 and the 7th edition, 2019) of the Cultural Affairs Bureau's fashion sample-making subsidy.
