FIDA: a Mandarin-rock band from Macau active in Taiwan's indie scene

FIDA

FIDA (青原 FIDA) is a Mandarin-rock / pop-punk band from Macau, formed in 2019 by lead vocalist-guitarist Ferdie (stage name "Ching Yuen"/青原) and drummer Ivan, later based mainly in Taiwan and active in the Mandarin-language indie scene. The name "FIDA" comes from the initials of early members' English names, while the frontman's name "青原" became part of the band's name. In 2024 singer-songwriter Rachel (Lau Wan Ching), a former artist of Macau's Manner (微辣) agency, joined to form a male-female dual-vocalist line-up. In 2025 the band reached the social-group final of the Taoyuan Iron Rose (鐵玫瑰) Music Awards and won the "Rose Jury Award," and performed that year at festivals including Taiwan Festival and Wanderer Forest Music Festival.
