Background

Huang Junhua is a core nanquan competitor for the Macau, China national wushu team. I. Two-time world champion

Huang reached the top of the World Wushu Championships podium twice: nangun gold at the 2015 Jakarta World Championships and nandao gold at the 2017 Kazan World Championships. Alongside the two golds he collected several world silvers, making him one of Macau's most consistent international medal contributors in the southern events.

II. The Asian Games stage

At the 2014 Incheon Asian Games he took silver in nanquan; at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games he won the men's nanquan/nangun all-round gold, adding another Asian Games title for Macau; and at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games he claimed a bronze, sustaining his competitiveness on the continental stage.
