I. Leading Shun Tak

She rose through senior roles at Shun Tak Holdings, overseeing TurboJET cross-border ferries (the backbone of HK–Macao travel), property development, hospitality, and the Shun Tak Centre — and steered the group towards professionalisation and internationalisation.

II. MGM joint venture

After Macao's 2002 gaming-licence liberalisation, Pansy Ho formed a joint venture with MGM Resorts International, securing a Macao gaming sub-concession in 2007 and later founding MGM China Holdings (listed in Hong Kong). It is one of the most successful gaming ventures led by a member of the second-generation Ho family.

III. Cultural and public roles

She is active in public affairs, having served on the CPPCC, and in 2016 was appointed UNESCO Special Envoy for Cultural and Heritage Tourism.

Key Achievements

  • Led Shun Tak's diversification across transport, property, and hospitality
  • Co-founded a successful Macao gaming JV with MGM
  • UNESCO Special Envoy for Cultural and Heritage Tourism
  • One of the most internationally visible members of the second-generation Ho family

Contribution to Macao

Pansy Ho's most concrete contribution to Macao has been bringing MGM's international brand into the gaming market and sustaining the HK–Macao passenger artery through Shun Tak's TurboJET ferries. Her advocacy in cultural-heritage tourism aligns with Macao's strategic positioning as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
